The side spans are post-tensioned reinforced concrete box sections, the middle span consists of an orthotropic steel deck
Nissibi Bridge is constructed at km 125 of the Diyarbakir – Adiyaman highway and crosses the reservoir lake of Atatürk Dam.
In terms of it’s technical features the bridge is an exemplary project which introduces many innovations to Turkiye’s construction sector.
Access between the two sides of the river Euphrates was limited and challenging. The Nissibi bridge has made access easier and contributed greatly to the economic and social life of the area.
The cable-stayed suspension bridge is 24.50 m wide and carries 2x2 lanes. It’s total length is 610m. The middle span that crosses the reservoir lake is 400 m, the pylons on either side are 96 m high.
