Design of a 6.47 km long TBM tunnel as part of the 10.8 km long transmission tunnel planned under the Hydro-electrical power plan project. The transmission tunnel with an interior diameter of 5.40 m has a maxiumum cover thickness of 265 m.
The tunnel was designed with a 5+1 segment configuration and excavated using a “double shield” TBM machine.
