As Kazakhstan’s first major public-private partnership project, it is designed as a 66 km long ring road through the Karasay and Talgar regions of the province of Almaty.
A 14.5 km long section of the road is designed with 4 lanes and a 51.5 km section with 6 lanes. In addition there are 7 intersections, 19 under- and overpasses and 19 bridges within the scope. The project is expected to prevent traffic congestion in the city to a great extent.
