190+56 km of railways
Double track, standard gauge HSR
The total length of the Eskisehir-Kosekoy High Speed Railway line is 190 km. It has a design speed of 250 km/h. The section contains 32 tunnels, 32 viaducts, 20 over&underpasses and 6 stations.
The project alignment starts west of Eskişehir, continues to the north passing through Bilecik and Sapanca and ends at Kosekoy. It passes through the deep valleys in the Bilecik area where the most active seismic faults are located. In terms of design and construction conditions it forms the most difficult section of the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Railway.
The Gebze-Kosekoy line forms a 56 km long section of the Ankara – Istanbul High Speed Railway and connects to the Marmaray line in Istanbul. The design speed varies between 110 – 160 km/h along the railway corridor. There are 8 stations, 7 bridges and 8 tunnels within the scope of the project.
