The Workshop on Preparation of Seismic Codes for Transportation and Distribution Facilities was organized

In scope of UDSEP-2023 (National Earthquake Strategy and Action Plan) prepared under the coordination of AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority) in 2011, The Workshop on “Preparation of Seismic Codes for Transportation and Distribution Facilities” which Yüksel Proje is the contractor was organized on 26-28 June 2019.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure M. Cahit Turhan, Deputy Ministers Enver İskurt, Selim Dursun, General Manager of Highways Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Yüksel Proje’s managers and employees, representatives of participant institutions, academicians, representatives of non-governmental organizations and project companies participated the workshop opening hosted by General Directorate of Highways.

In the workshop taking 3 days, the academicians specialized in earthquake shared their opinions on the studies and draft seismic codes regarding to preparation of seismic codes for highway and railway bridges and tunnels, coastal and harbor structures, pipe line systems and liquid storage tanks, airport structures, electric transmission systems and communication facilities and they answered the questions from the participants.
