Construction of the Cekmekoy – Sancaktepe – Sultanbeyli Driverless Metro Line, continuation of the Uskudar – Umraniye – Cekmekoy Metro Line, has been restarted with a ceremony. The line that will be extended until Kurtkoy – Viaport line is planned to be connected to the Sabiha Gokcen Airport. The CSS Line will be integrated into Marmaray, Metrobus, Dudullu – Bostancı line, Kadıkoy –Sultanbeyli Line, Umraniye – Atasehir – Goztepe line and will create an important part of the Anatolian Side public transportation.
The line has a total length of 10.9 km and consists of 8 stations (Meclis Mahallesi, Sarigazi, Samandıra, Abdurrahmangazi, Sancaktepe, Veysel Karani, Hasanpaşa ve Sultanbeyli). It is planned to have a transit duration of 16 minutes and a maximum speed of 80 km/h. The line will carry 64,800 passengers per hour in one direction.
