BOGAZKOPRU-YENICE, MERSIN-TOPRAKKALE RAILWAY REHABILITATION

Rehabilitation and establishment of traffic management system of the railway lines, located between Boğazköprü – Yenice and Mersin – Toprakkale, with an approximate total length of 400 km. Renewal of numerous stations, construction of service and administrative buildings, installment of signaling and telecommunication infrastructure along the route, and built up of new tracks – with approx 40 km long- for trains to maneuver. All works to be realized under operation.

Gebze – Kosekoy Line forms 56 km part of Ankara – Istanbul High Speed Railway and is connected to Marmaray in Istanbul. The line is designed with speed of 110 – 160 km/h.

The project covers rehabilitation of existing conventional railway for high speed train operation by addition of a third track.

Total length of the Eskisehir-Kosekoy High Speed Railway line is 190 km and designed for speed of 250 km/h.

Project route starts at west of Eskisehir, extends towards north of Bilecik and ends at Kosekoy passing through Sapanca. Deep valleys in Bilecik region with most active faults over the world, constitute the most difficult section of Ankara-Istanbul High Speed railway route in terms of design and construction.
